John King Construction is a Commercial General Contractor with experience in every industry, under every delivery method. We have over Forty-Five years of experience working collaboratively with Ownership, Design, and Subcontractor teams to identify and solve issues that avoid delays and Deliver a seamless experience for our Clients.
When 18 year old John King took a summer job building a Sonic, he didn’t know that a year later he would have started King Construction, a nationwide General Contractor specializing in fast tracking Fuel Stations & Quick Service Restaurants for Corporate America.
Over the past decade John has been preparing his Children, JD King (President/Head of Preconstruction) & Katie King (Vice President, Controller) to take leadership of the Company and continue to grow on the strong foundation and reputation that JKC is known for.
In the early 2000’s John was ready to slow down and be home more with his family, he began focusing his project selection primarily in the Austin MSA and was able to take on a more diverse workload as the company continued grow local roots and the repeat clients we still have today.
Our clients & our team are the reason we exist, for that reason we are very conservative on project work load. We choose to bid projects that align with our capacity and allow us to successfully deliver every project we commit to. Partnering with JKC means partnering with our loyal and tenured base of Subcontractors from the Austin area that consistently produce quality work. We have worked with these subcontractors on quality control ensuring they understand and meet JKC’s construction standards. Further, these subcontractors have proven themselves to be strong team players supporting value engineering in the design phase and the completion of our projects on time in the construction phase.
